Red Mesa Christian Schools

Christian Education is an important aspect of ministry in Red Mesa dating back to the early missionaries over 100 years ago. Rehoboth Christian School east of Gallup New Mexico is a K-12 school with an enrollment of over 400. Zuni Christian Mission School in Zuni New Mexico is a K-8 school with an enrollment of over 60.

Red Mesa Churches

The churches and missions making up Classis Red Mesa consist of three basic types of Churches: missions and chapels, reservation or pueblo- based and border town multicultural churches.

Missions and Chapels

Red Mesa Missions and chapels are small Navajo based groups who are the body of Christ in their New Mexico communities, but not yet formally organized as churches, Only Sanostee has a full-time pastor, Rev. Raymond Slim. The others have lay leadership.

Reservation or Pueblo Churches

These churches exist on the Navajo reservation or in the Zuni Pueblo. They range in size, some being quite small and others with 50 -100 members. Their membership is majority Native American. They have strong lay leadership and some have full time pastors as well.

Border Town Multicultural Churches

The border town churches are some of the larger churches in the Red Mesa Churches. Their leadership and membership is multicultural. The border town churches are active in their local communities and serve as partners with the Mission and Reservation/Pueblo churches.
